Armi Legge was a regular co-host on Dave Asprey’s Bulletproof Executive podcasts a few years back, but shortly after I started listening to the Bulletproof Podcast, Armi disappeared. A month or so ago, I ran into him again, and asked him if he was interested in doing a video interview with me, and he agreed.
I was mainly interested in why he left the Bulletproof Executive, and upon hearing his explanation, I dug a bit deeper.
As in my other interviews, I try to make the interview about the person I’m interviewing, and not about me. This one was a bit challenging, since I found myself disagreeing with a lot of what Armi had to say, and I wanted to remain non-confrontational, and allow him to explain himself without me putting words into his mouth. I was mainly interested in what he thought, and why he thought that way.
This interview was also technically challenging. This was the first time I had used Skype to do a video interview, and it turned out that the recording software that I was trying to use just did not work (and Armi’s recording on the other end only got one side of the audio), so we had to put off the interview for a couple of days so that I could get a recording program that worked.
Turns out that I also need more experience using that recording software, and either a better lighting source or a better webcam. Maybe even some communication system other than Skype. Armi was using a portable device on his end, and I think that is why there are some glitches in the recording. The glitches look like there wasn’t enough bandwidth in some cases.
Still, it is possible to make out most of what was said. And the recording software did a fairly good job of moving the focus to the person talking.
