We have just this minute received a note from the Captain of the ship explaining the circumstances surrounding the removal of Dr. Kruse from the ship.
According to the Captain, not long before sailing, a Twitter message was posted under the name “Doctor Kruse” that could easily be construed as threatening. This message was brought to the attention of several law enforcement authorities, who then boarded the ship and questioned Dr. Kruse.
I am not privy to the conversation that ensued, but the Captain made the decision to proceed in caution, and had Dr. Kruse removed from the ship.
Subsequently it has been determined that Dr. Kruse was not responsible for the threatening message. The Captain apologized for the problems that ensued both for us and for Dr. Kruse.
